Kaikoura sunset

You have to wonder about vehicle testing in New Zealand eh?

Akaroa, Banks Peninsula - New Zealand. Colourful weatherboard houses and baches cling to the slopes of a volcanic crater. Blessed by a calm warm climate, often missed by less inquisitive tourists on their dash round the south island. Make sure you stop at the Art Gallery in Little River on the way.

Winter hits us with a blast. 10 days of Antarctic weather and counting .... brrr!

SOLD! The house is gone, we are out and in our new flat now. Busy times to move in time but we did it.

Charlie Cat - We are very sad, only a couple more days until he moves house to his new owners. :(

Snow hits Sumner

Crazy English people in the snow.

Snow at Sea Level!, Sumner - NZ

Sumner, Christchurch - New Zealand - Home for now, we are soon to leave back to England, it has been a great place to be, near the sea for a couple of years. A nice place to pass through if you are visiting the south island and catching a plane back home.

The Remarkables, Queenstown - New Zealand. We woke to this view on Monday morning, life doesn't get much better than this. Queenstown, for all it's adrenalin sports, is also a great place to chill and unwind.

Milford Sound, South Island - New Zealand. World beating scenery, stunning in winter. We were very lucky to see this, Milford is now closed due to avalanches.

Coronet Peak, Queenstown - New Zealand. Must be one of the best views from a ski field, anywhere!

Lenny Henry

It is a rare thing that someone decent ventures as far south as Christchurch, and we are so glad when they do. Far from the anticipated bombardment of riotous stand up and old characters on another outing, Lenny delivered a much different offering. Rapidly switching between a series of 6 characters, including a woman and his dog, the evening was a set of highly creative monologues featuring his famous facial acrobatics and skilled vocals. A riotous evening, way beyond our high expectations. Well done Lenny.

Kathy helps Dawn French and Daughter make jewellery

So Kathy was having a typically dull day at Beads Unlimited, that was until Dawn French walks in, sits down and asks Kathy to help her daughter make a neclace :). Having spent an hour with them, having fun and quietly in her mind going "Oh my god .... Dawn French!", they thanked Kathy very much and went on their way. She is in town with Lenny who is doing stand up tonight, we have tickets :)
